Our open training seminar will teach you more on how to operate solar panels so you can work on multi-megawatt projects in no time. Our state-of-art-training also offers relevant skills on how to calculate the energy needs of rural households and ways to electrify them through hybrid mini-grids or Solar Home Systems.

At Adapted Learning with Renewables, we have experts who are knowledgeable in the field of Photovoltaic and are ready to help you develop practical solutions for the ever-changing energy market.

To make learning exciting for our students, our Training entails visiting companies that are relevant in the industry of photovoltaic. We also have a state-of-art training center where you can take on hands-on-approach on various projects to widen your existing project. By the time you are through with the Training, you will be well-equipped to handle photovoltaic projects in no time.

What Does Our Photovoltaic Training Entail?

Here is what the course entails:

  • Do a SWOT analysis of sites to assess resources and compatibility to the available technology
  • Calculate the size of systems and the estimated yield of energy when given parameters
  • Explain the principles and the functioning of the technology in connection to the systems
  • Correct errors and faults in PV systems upon detection

Upon the completion of the online and the practical training, students are awarded the Adapted Learning with Renewables Certificate.

Students are then recommended to proceed to specialization courses, which can either be a certification as a Photovoltaic or PV Professional, or a Renewable Energy Project Developer, with a particular focus on Photovoltaic and Diesel Hybrids.

Course content:

Photovoltaic or PV training under Adapted Learning with Renewables entails the study of both small-scale and large-scale systems that are grid-connected to a photovoltaic energy system as a way to produce electricity.

Generally, the course outline will initially focus on the following:

  • Application and contribution of Photovoltaic systems to market development
  • Overview of Solar radiation
  • Components of a Photovoltaic system
  • System configurations, including grid-tied systems and off-grid system
  • Introduction to system design and energy yield calculation and estimation

In addition to these, all students and participants of this course are also allowed access to the introductory courses on Basic Energy and Electricity. It should also be noted that these supplemental short courses are not mandatory, thus they will not be included in the assessments and examinations.
