UNICEF, in partnership with the Maldives Ministry of Education and the NGO Live and Learn Environmental Education (LLEE) developed a resource pack of learning/teaching materials completed in 2008 to strengthen active learning in the current environmental education curricula. The materials, attached here, include: * Best Practice Guidelines for teaching Environmental Studies * Two flipcharts to be used as interactive and colorful learning tools * A set of 6 activity-based text books * 3 field guides for local birds, plants and mangrove ecosystems An environmental toolbox for children comprised of practical tools to monitor wind, tide, water quality and coral health were included in the learning kits that were delivered to schools.
