ACCCA/UNITAR database contains project information and resources for Africa.

AdaptNet is RMIT University Global Cities Institute's Climate Change Adaptation Working Group network focused on urban climate change adaptation. It provides links to the five best climate change papers that the service finds for that week. AdaptNet creates a set of common knowledge and reference points for participants and offers a stock of such knowledge. It focuses on cities in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, but nested within the global network of cities. AdaptNet has been operating since 2006. Archives are available in English, Vietnamese and Bahasa Indonesian.

Assessments of Impacts and Adaptations to Climate Change (AIACC) in Multiple Regions and Sectors is a global initiative developed to advance scientific understanding of climate change vulnerabilities and adaptation options in developing countries.

Climadapt, the Canadian climate change adaptation network, is a private-sector driven environmental network providing innovative climate change adaptation expertise in Canada and internationally.

Community-Based Adaptation Exchange is a Web site for sharing lessons learned, methodologies, case studies, and good practices of community-based adaptation.

Eldis endeavors to share the best in development, policy, practice and research. The Web site provides knowledge resources on biodiversity, land degradation, desertification, international waters, climate change, and adaptation.

Global Support Programme for National Capacity Self-Assessment is a joint UNDP-GEF and UNEP programme that focuses on strengthening the capacities of individual countries to manage their priority environmental issues and contribute to global environmental benefits.

IDS Linking Climate Adaptation provides guides to resources on relevant topics, a Web-based discussion forum, and links to relevant agencies.

IISD Vulnerability & Adaptation provides knowledge resources on biodiversity, climate change, desertification, and other related topics.

SciDev provides information about science and technology for the developing world, including resources on biodiversity, climate change, desert science, and indigenous knowledge.

SEI Vulnerability Network & Observatory is a document hotel and discussion forum.

UNFCCC Local Coping Strategies Database facilitates the transfer of long-standing climate-change coping strategies, mechanisms, knowledge, and experience.

UNFCCC Nairobi Work Programme Database houses submissions on adaptation planning and practices under the Nairobi work programme.

weADAPT is a collaborative initiative on climate change adaptation. It hosts the Climate Change Explorer tool for visualizing climate data and wikiADAPT, an interactive space for sharing knowledge and experience.

NCSP Compendium of Vulnerability and Adaptation Resources includes: literature, models and tools for V&A assessments, by thematic area and geographic region; network directory for expert assistance upon request; and a moderated email discussion.

Information portals

IPCC Data Distribution Center (DDC) offers access to baseline and scenario data for representing the evolution of climatic, socio-economic, and other environmental conditions.

IPCC Working Group II assesses the scientific, technical, environmental, economic, and social aspects of vulnerability, as well as consequences for ecological systems, socio-economic sectors, and human health.

National Adaptation Programme for Action (NAPA) is a joint UNDP-GEF and UNEP programme that assists least developed countries (LDCs) in building capacity for addressing urgent and immediate adaptation needs, as well as for the preparation of their national communications to the UNFCCC.
