This Source issue is the outcome of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)/UNU-EHS International PhD Workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation in Context of South and Southeast Asia, held from 23 until 25 November 2009 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The workshop was organized by UNU-EHS and the Research Centre for Disasters, Yogyakarta (PSBA-UGM), and funded by DAAD as part of the DAAD Catastrophes Prevention, Crisis Management and Conflict Prevention Special Programme (CCC-Tsunami).
