    Summary:

    The project contributes to climate change mitigation as it assists the Government of Micronesia in defining, formulating and finalizing Medium Sized Project (MSP) Brief for promotion of renewable energy. The MSP Brief will be based on conclusions drawn and recommendations made after the completion of the project development activities

    Expected Outputs:

    Main deliverables include: 1. Evaluation of solar, wind and biomass resources in FSM; 2. Identification of potential project sites for RE application; 3. Identification of project stakeholder partners and stakeholder meetings documentation; 4. LFA & design interventions to address barriers, GEF strategic priorities and incremental cost analysis; 5. Assessment and definition of institutional framework; and 6. Co-funding and co-financing requirements.
