    Summary:

    The project mainly aims to build capacity of communities and local organisations to prevent, prepare for and respond to disaster, within Vanuatu's NAP.

    Other objectives include:

    1. To build community capacity to prevent and withstand the potential effects of disaster particularly in the provinces of Torba, Sanma, Penama and Tafea.
    2. To strengthen community preparedness for disaster in high risk areas, particularly in the provinces of Torba, Sanma, Penama and Tafea.
    3. To build the capacity of local organisations to prepare for and respond to disaster, particularly in remote areas of the provinces of Torba, Sanma, Penama and Tafea.
