The CC DARE team held a joint stakeholder consultation in Ghana in April 2009, in collaboration with several other adaptation programmes (AAP, ENREG, UNDP-LDCF, BCPR/DRR) with participants from diverse ministries, NGOs as well as development partners. A project proposal aimed at finalizing the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy (NCCAS) was submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) end April 2009. The principal objective is to draw on CC DARE support to strengthen the human, institutional and financial capacity to enable the finalization of the NCCAS and its presentation to Parliament and Cabinet. The project proposal "Finalisation of the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy" submitted by the EPA was accepted for funding under the CC DARE Programme, after assessment by the CC DARE review committee.
