    Summary:

    Objective: Create a facilitative environment for risk sensitive planning in local government with participation from civil society, communities, and the private sector for development of best practice case studies within the Pacific Region

    Two pilot studies (in Fiji and Vanuatu) already developed and in progress.  One (in RMI) currently being developed in collaboration with Fiji MCO and RMI stakeholders. Three to be developed and implemented.


    Expected Outputs:

    1. Implementation of pilot projects for strengthening local level risk management in Fiji and Vanuatu under way and milestones being met
    2. Design and development of pilot projects in RMI
    3. Design and development of three pilot projects in the years 2008/09.
