Summary:

National adaptation programmes of action (NAPAs) provide a process for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to identify priority activities that respond to their urgent and immediate needs to adapt to climate change – those for which further delay would increase vulnerability and/or costs at a later stage. The following summarizes the NAPA for Nepal.

Description

The objective of this project is to prepare, through a country-driven consultative process, a comprehensive programme of action for Nepal to adapt to the likely impacts of global warming and to mainstream climate change issues in the development plans and programmes to safeguard the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
