Background
The country adaptation profiles were designed to assist UNDP country offices and Regional Technical Advisors in developing adaptation proposals that are integrated into broader development programming. Today, the profiles are publicly available through the ALM to support all stakeholders and enable knowledge sharing at the country level.

Initially designed by UNDP to help integrate adaptation into broader development programming, country adaptation profiles:

• Provide a country-level platform for sharing adaptation knowledge, and
• Illustrate the structured thinking necessary for planning adaptation.
