Description:

Created in January 2009, The Development Practitioners Forum is a nonprofit organization with a mission to support development practitioners - those who are actively engaged in designing and implementing sustainable development efforts in developing countries. The Forum operates with the bottom-up philosophy, encouraging organizations and individuals to share information for the common purpose of accelerating and deepening development impact.

The Forum's first effort to connect development practitioners is a question and answer website called InfoSpring. The website is designed to allow users to organize around a problem-solving process that feeds knowledge from those who possess it to those who need it. Join the conversation at www.InfoSpring.org. The Development Practitioners Forum

The Forum will operate with an open source philosophy, encouraging organizations and individuals to share information for the common purpose of accelerating and deepening development impact. This principle means that useful information on critical international development issues will be collected and presented regardless of the sponsoring donor agency or organizational affiliation of the individual practitioner.
