5th International Conference Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change

Three days of field visits to community based adaptation projects in different ecosystems. Three days of interactive discussions on different thematic areas in Dhaka. During recent years, “Climate Change” has been on the top of national as well as international agendas. United Nations have established the Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the reports of its International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have provided strong scientific evidence on the causes and impacts of climatic change. The recent COP15 meeting in Copenhagen failed to agree on coherent mitigation action against the dominant GHG emission sources, and it now seems likely that the changes and their impacts will exceed the recommendations of the IPCC.
