COLLABORATION
Learning through experience
The ALM is an open and flexible knowledge-sharing platform that will be strengthened by expanded collaboration. The objective for the ALM is learning through experience. Collaboration can take many forms, and the ALM platform can help adaptation stakeholders to reach each other.
Some of the opportunities for collaboration include:
1. Sharing adaptation profiles, experiences, and lessons learned;
2. Sharing resources at the country level through the country adaptation profiles;
3. Sharing adaptation tools and guidance, or assessments of adaptation experiences;
4. Developing regional efforts to expand ALM activities focused on topics of regional priority; and
5. Capacity-building and outreach initiatives, building on the knowledge and resources of the ALM.

This site provides an open network for sharing knowledge of adaptation to climate change, focusing on three areas:
- Practices – What can be done to adapt to climate change on the ground?
- Integration of climate change risks and adaptation into policy, planning and operations – How can policies and plans support adaptation over time?
- Capacity building – How can people become better equipped for adapting to climate change?
Guidance on how to use the site and participate in the project is forthcoming.
