International Climate Change Adaptation Conference

Co-hosted by Australia’s National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility and the CSIRO Climate Adaptation Flagship, this conference will be one of the first international forums to focus solely on climate impacts and adaptation. It will bring together scientists and decision makers from developed and developing countries to share research approaches, methods and results.

This draft plan is one of a series of national research plans being developed by the National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility (NCCARF) to guide and coordinate climate change adaptation research in Australia.

The research plan focuses on providing information on three broad categories that were identified as necessary to enhance decision-making about adaptation in Australia.

  1. What type of response is required;
  2. How can adaptive capacity be determined and how can it be expanded; and
